Food drive response not dampened

Response for the “Fill the Truck”  community food drive today in Paddock Lake was good despite the wet weather, organizer Dee Grubb said.

“Take a look at our truck,” Grubb said.

The collected food was to go to The Sharing Center, which benefits people west of the I in need. They’re going to be out there until 8 p.m. if you haven’t dropped something off already.

There also were fun activities, prize drawings and a hot dog sale going on. Proceeds of the food sales were to go to purchase school supplies for needy student families.
