Scanner chatter suggests traffic is being diverted from Highway C in the area of the Cowmark Cafe, Wilmot. Apparently there was a crash.

This isn’t far from the Dousman Transport bus depot and it’s just about time for schools to begin letting out, so that might cause some logistical challenges.

We’ll let you know if we find out more.

Update: Incident appeared to involve a car and a pick-up truck. Vehicles still on the road and traffic still being diverted as of 3:45 p.m.

Second update: Crash involved a Dodge Stratus that pulled out of a driveway in the 28400 block of Highway C into the path of a Ford pick-up truck that was westbound on the highway, a sheriff’s department spokesman said. Two people were transported to area hospitals for injuries. Deputies were still on the scene investigating at 4:25 p.m.

Third update: form a Sheriff’s department spokesman: Driver of car that pulled out was Michelle N Breski, 41,  of Trevor . She was ticketed for failure to yeild right of way from an alley/driveway.  She was treated and released for minor injuries.  Driver of truck that was James E. Koziol, 62.  Reports indicate that Breski left the Cow Mark Cafe, pulling out in front of Koziol’s truck and was then struck.
