This was the first year the Wheatland Fire Department Auxiliary has hosted an Easter egg hunt. Apparently, there was a need because they got a good turnout. Auxiliary member Julie Kerkman said the auxiliary in recent years has been seeking more community service opportunities.

Even Easter egg hunts have gone green. Children at the Wheatland event were asked to recycle their eggs after removing the goods. Here Casey Shevoukas adds his. Everyone seemed to be participating.
