The Fox on Wednesday looking at Highway F.

Looks like the Fox River peaked a littel sooner — and at a lower height — than predicted. It never did reach 11 feet yesterday, cresting at 10.57. It’s on a downward trend for now.

For today the National Weather Service is calling for: “chance of rain and snow (It’s almost 6 and I’m not seeing any snow out my window! — DH) before 7 a.m. Partly cloudy, with a high near 50. Breezy, with a north wind between 15 and 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent. Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 30. Northwest wind between 5 and 10 mph. ”

Easter egg hunt weather looks decent on Saturday:Mostly sunny, with a high near 48. North wind between 5 and 10 mph”

But how soft will those grass fields still be?
