Information Systems Technician
The Wheatland J1 School District is seeking candidates for the position of Information Systems Technician. This is a full]time, twelve month position. Salary will be in the $32,000-$35,000 range with a competitive benefit package.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Install, test and initiate operation of computer systems and peripherals; Install, test, upgrade and configure district approved software on computer systems; Provide technical assistance to building staff in person, over the phone, and in electronic communications; Instruct staff and students on new technologies; Troubleshoot and resolve problems with hardware, software and audio visual components; Provide hardware/software support including set]up, installation, configuration and maintenance for Windows XP and Windows 7, Novell, Microsoft Office 2000 (2003, 2007), as well as numerous other applications including open source options. Assist in the preventative maintenance of computers, peripherals, computer labs and network equipment. Maintain inventory of all district systems
Qualified applicants will have an associate or bachelor’s degree in IT Computer Support Specialist or Network Communication Specialist or equivalent work experience. A valid driver’s license will be required.
Persons with A+ certification will be given additional consideration.
