Community invited to get involved at Lakeland Little League election meeting Sept. 24

Lakeland Little League will hold its annual Election Meeting on Sept. 24, starting at 6 p.m. at Central High School in Paddock Lake.

All those with children in the program as well as other communities members interested are encouraged to attend said Frank Gagliardi, current Lakeland Little League president.

The officers and Board of Directors for the league will be selected at the meeting. The annual election meeting also is the beginning of the process that sets the agenda for the coming youth baseball and softball season, Gagliardi explained.

Gagliardi encouraged people to “come out and voice their opinions” at the Election Meeting.

Parents of children in the  program are of course welcome, but also other communities members with ideas and energy to carry them out, Gagliardi said.

“This is the time of year to come forward with ideas,” Gagliardi said.

Lakeland Little League was founded in 1955. It currently features baseball and softball programs for children 4 to 12 years old at various levels of competition. The league’s Intermediate (50/70) baseball team won the 2018 Wisconsin State Tournament defeating the West Bend All Stars 8 to 5.

“We had a great season this year,” Gagliardi said.
