How to find info

People with all kinds of degrees of familiarity with conventions of websites are using the Internet these days. Nothing here at westofthei.com is too radical or fancy. We’ve kept it that way on purpose. Still, westofthei.com is packed with local information, so we want you to know how it’s organized so you can always find what you’re looking for.

What’s the latest? The latest post to the site will always show at the top of the main column. The posts under it are arranged chronologically — more recent closer to the top. Checking out that column is the quickest way to see what’s the latest. Check back often; we’ll be posting a lot. Eventually, posts fall off the front page but they’re still on the website. How do you find them then? Read on.

Categories: Looking for info on a particular school district? How about one town or village? Want to check out what community events are taking place for this weekend? Check out our categories. They are in a sidebar to the right of the screen. Click on one of those and you will get all of the posts in that category, arranged with the most recent on the top. For example, clicking on Paddock Lake will give you all the Paddock Lake tagged posts. Click events and you’ll get all the info we posted on meetings, fundraisers, workshops and church dinners.

Search: Heard that we featured a friend of yours in a post? The best way to find it might be to search our site. Our easy to use search box is locatedĀ in the sidebar to the far right.

Archives: Do you know when a post you’re looking for first appeared? Looking for something on last month’s school board meeting? If you can pin the info down to a certain month, going to our archive, arranged by month, might work well for you.

Ads: There’s a wealth of information attached to the adsĀ in the sidebars as well. We encourage you to click on those ads and learn more about the businesses that make westofthei.com possible.
