Wheatland 4K hosts Family Fun Day

Motorcyclists who died in Sunday crash identified

The identities of a motorcycle driver and passenger who died as a result of  a  crash Sunday in Wheatland have been released by the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department. Town of Wheatland Fire Department pancake breakfast coverage

The Town of Wheatland Fire Department hosted its annual pancake breakfast Sunday morning. On the menu was sausage, eggs and of course pancakes. Attendees also could enter silent raffles or a separate raffle for a 32-inch TV. Proceeds from last year’s breakfast helped pay for new nozzles for the department, which were on display Sunday. Wheatland Fire Department to host pancake breakfast

The Town of Wheatland Volunteer Fire Department will host a pancake breakfast on Sunday, Oct. 9, from 7 a.m. to noon. Admission is by donation. The event will also include raffles. The fire station is located at 34011 Geneva Road, in New Munster.

Lilly Lake beach open again

View Larger Map Lilly Lake beach is fully open for swimming again after the results of the latest bacteria water test, Wheatland town Clerk Sheila Siegler reports. A test sample taken yesterday showe 19 cfu/100mls. The beach was closed Wednesday and under an advisory Tuesday and Thursday due to high bacteria readings.
