Units responding for burning in Voltz Lake

At about 4:44 p.m., Salem Lakes Fire/Rescue units are responding to a report of burning in the 12100 block of 231st Avenue in Voltz Lake. Per dispatch: Caller reports two burning and unattended leave piles. Round Lake Fire Department units manning Salem Lakes Station No. 1 for a change of quarters are responding.

Slow no wake order lifted for Lake Shangri-la, Cross Lake and Voltz Lake

A slow no wake order for Lake Shangri-la, Cross Lake and Voltz Lake in Salem Lakes has been lifted, village administrator Patrick Casey said Wednesday afternoon. All other lakes in the village remain under slow no wake, Casey said. All village lakes were put under slow no wake after heavy rains on July 11-12.

Units responding for alarm in Voltz Lake

At about 8:26 p.m., Town of Salem Fire/Rescue units and a sheriff’s deputy are responding for a supervisory alarm at a home in the 22800 block of 118th Street in Voltz Lake. UPDATE 8:27 p.m. — Dispatch says alarm company reports person on the scene reports this is a false alarm. Response continuing to confirm.
