The Riverview School Drama Club will present Alice in Wonderland The Musical on Friday, May 1 at 6:30 p.m. The production includes live instrumental accompaniment. Early results in the Silver Lake village president race show challenger Bruce Nopenz leading incumbent Sue Gerber. As of 8:20 p.m. results were: Nopenz 405 (56%) to Gerber 314 (44%). UPDATE 8:30 p.m. — Village Clerk Terry Faber reports above are the final unofficial results except for five outstanding absentee ballots, not enough to change the outcome.
Due to the windy and extremely dry conditions, an open burn ban is in effect for the village of Silver Lake per order of Silver Lake Fire Department Chief Allison Draeger. The ban is in effect until further notice.
