Silver Lake passes budget with flat tax levy

The Silver Lake Village Board at a special meeting Monday approved a budget with a tax levy showing a .04 percent decrease over 2015. The 2016 general property tax levy will be $1,025,823. The 2015 general property tax levy was $1,026,237. Trustee Roger Johnson was the only vote against the budget.

Community Library Thanksgiving closures announced

All Community Library branches, Salem, Silver Lake, and Twin Lakes will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 26, in observance of Thanksgiving. Regular hours at Salem and Twin Lakes will resume on Friday, Nov. 27. The Silver Lake location is closed on Fridays but will resume hours on Saturday, Nov. 28.

Silver Lake storm sewer fee to increase

9-11 remembrance ceremony planned for Friday
