Mandatory car insurance takes effect June 1

Sheriff’s Department updates on Paris burglary case, passes on tips

Representatives of the Kenosha County Sheriff's Department gave interested Paris residents an update on the recent rash of burglaries in the town as well as and some information about protecting their valuables and Neighborhood Watch at a community meeting at Town Hall Wednesday night. Sheriff’s Department gives notice of sex offender release

The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department is making notification of the release of convicted sex offender Christopher L. Shelton  into Western Kenosha County. Shelton was convicted of first degree sexual assault of a child. Deputies chase stolen cab down I-94

Kenosha County sheriff's deputies pursued a stolen cab down Interstate 94 Saturday night before taking the driver into custody in Racine County. Carl J. Sheriff’s Department gets grant for underage drinking prevention

The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department has received a $5,000 grant from the Comprehensive Alcohol Risk Reduction program to prevent underage drinking in the community, The grant, administered by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation’s Bureau of Transportation Safety, may be used to fund officers’ overtime for compliance checks, which help ensure retail establishments are not selling alcohol to underage customers. Man charged in Brighton home invasion pleads guilty to some charges

One of the men charged in connection with the shooting death of Robin Leydel and the invasion of Leydel's Brighton home in October has pleaded guilty to some of the charges against him. Court records show Brian D. Suckecki, 37, of Twin Lakes,  has pleaded guilty to:

The Sheriff's Department is investigating the death of an infant in Paddock Lake this morning, which appears to have been the result of a family sharing a bed. Sheriff says Paris residents safe, offers burglary prevention tips

Sheriff David Beth assured Paris residents at Town Hall Monday evening that they do not have a level of crime to be concerned about, but also offered several tips those concerned about burglaries could use. Murder suspects in court

Preliminary hearings for the four men charged in the murder of a Brighton resident got under way Wednesday. The hearings were continued until Nov. 12. Charged with first-degree intentional homicide and other crimes in the shooting death of  Robin Leydel of Brighton are:
