Folk musicians visit Salem School

Salem Grade School hosted folk musicians Peter and Mary Alice Amidon on Thursday. The duo spent the day working on folk dancing and singing with Annemarie Travia’s second through fourth grade classes. Ruzicki is new Salem School Board member

Kirsten Ruzicki has been appointed to the Salem School Board. Ruzicki was sworn in at a special meeting Wednesday night. She is filling a vacancy left by the resignation of Jim Gere, who moved out of the district. Ruzicki, who served on the board in the past, will be the board’s deputy clerk.

Salem School D.A.R.E graduation coverage

Salem School held its D.A.R.E. graduation Friday. D.A.R.E stands for drug abuse resistance education. Salem School has cancelled all after school activities today due to the weather. Also, Salem’s School’s PM 4K program has been cancelled for this afternoon. At this time, Joyce’s Preschool and Kids Club will remain open.

Salem C basketball team takes third in tournament
