Appointed Salem School Board member to run write-in candidacy

Parisa Watson, who was appointed to the Salem School Board in January, has announced she plans to run a write-in candidacy to win a seat int eh April 4 election. Watson was appointed in January to fill the remainder of Kim McLeod’s term, which expires in April.

Salem School runners finish first in cross country conference meet

Salem School hosted the First Inaugural Westosha-Wilmot Grade School Conference Cross Country Meet on Oct. 1. There were nearly 150 runners representing 11 schools. First place finishes in the 7th & 8th Grade Boys and 7th & 8th Girls races were recorded by Salem School students Tyler Silber and Heaven Anderson.

The Salem School Family 5K Run/Walk will take place  Sat. May 31. Start time will be 8:30 a.m., with check in time from 7 to 8:20 a.m. Fee: $10 Individual or $15 Family Proceeds will go to the purchase of school supplies, benefiting Salem families in need and Salem classrooms. Salem School fourth graders writing pen pals in Italy

As part of a project to encourage writing, Jane Fahey’s fourth grade class at Salem School has been connecting with pen pals from Italy.
