Providence’s Rosemarie Laitinen earns 2nd at Optimist oratorical contest

Rosemarie Laitinen, a 6th grade student at Providence Catholic School located in Paris, competed at the Optimist International District Oratorical Contest held in Lake Geneva on April 26. Rose competed against middle school and high school students from throughout southeastern Wisconsin. Her outstanding presentation earned Second Place and a $1500 scholarship.

Providence students collect clothing for The Sharing Center

Providence Catholic School Student Council and students participated in a special Advent project. Students collected specific clothing items each Friday for three weeks. The collection included: 64 pairs of gloves, 9 scarves, and 73 winter hats. The 146 clothing items were donated to the Trevor Sharing Center
