Recall was razor close in Kenosha County

Tuesday’s governor recall election was extremely close in Kenosha County on a percentage basis: Democratic challenger Tom Barrett received 29,626 votes or 50.27 percent. Republican incumbent Scott Walker received 28,921 votes or 49.07 percent. Statewide, Walker retained his seat, the first governor in US history able to do so while the subject of a recall.

Paris School mathletes visit state Capitol

Paris School Gifted and Talented math competition students visited the State Capitol last week. The students, accompanied by parent chaperones and Junior High Math Teacher Brittany Heller, were in Madison for a math competition. Post-competition, they joined state Rep.  Samantha Kerkman for a Capitol tour and gathered on the observation deck for a photo.
