Crash on Highway K in Paddock Lake
At 3:55 p.m., sheriff's deputies are reporting a crash with injuries in the 23600 block of Highway K, Paddock Lake.
The crash involves an 18-year-old male that was hit by a car. Personnel on scene reports the pedestrian is conscious, breathing and walking around with a possible elbow injury.

At 9:03 p.m., Salem Fire/rescue is responding to two weather related fire calls.
Dispatch reports that a transformer is arcing and on fire at 71st and 248th Avenue.
Dispatch also reports that wires are on fire at the northwest corner of Highway 50 and Highways 75/83.

Man killed in one car crash Monday
A 59-year-old man died in a one-vehicle crash early Monday morning in Trevor.
A spokesman for the Sheriff's Department identified the man as Kelly B. Covelli.
Sgt. Gil Benn said Covelli was driving south on 256th Court when his vehicle left the road and struck a pole.
Indications are the crash was due to a medical event, Benn said… Continue reading

At 3:33 p.m., sheriff's deputies are responding to a report of a two-vehicle crash just west of I-94 on Highway 50.
The crash reportedly occurred in about the 12200 block of Highway 50 (75th Street) but ended up in the 12400 block.

Randall Fire Department 25th Anniversary celebration coverage
The Randall Fire Department celebrated its 25th anniversary with an open house today at Station Number 2 at Highways KD and F.
A variety of activities and demonstrations awaited those attending including fire equipment, a smoke house, kids games, food, music, Flight for Life and demonstations illustrating the advantages of sprinklers and how firefighters free people trapped in cars crunched in crashes.

Firefighter Norden funeral photos
Funeral services for Firefighter EMT-Paramedic Eric Norden were held today at Holy Cross Church-West in Wilmot.
Norden, 30, a full-time firefighter for Salem Fire/Rescue and a part-time firefighter for several other area departments including Paris and Antioch and Silver Lake Rescue, was killed in a crash early Saturday morning just south of the state line. No one else was involved in the
Randall Fire Department to celebrate 25 years this week
The Randall Fire Department's 25th anniversary festival is this Saturday, Aug. 28, at the Bassett Fire Station, on Highway F at Highway KD.

Lake County Coroner says firefighter who died in crash had blood alcohol level over limit
The Daily Herald's website is reporting that Lake County Coroner Dr. Richard Keller said Eric Norden's blood-alcohol level at the time of his fatal crash on Saturday was .21 percent, over the legal threshold of .08 percent.

Salem firefighter/paramedic who died in car crash this morning honored at fair
Eric Norden, a firefighter/paramedic with Salem Fire/Rescue and member of other area departments died in a car crash early Friday morning.
Just hours later, friends, colleagues and family members were remembering Norden in two ceremonies at the Kenosha County Fair.

Dispatch reports that the vehicle is on the eastbound lanes side and is a blue El Camino. A passerby is reportedly trying to put out the fire with a fire extinguisher.

Victim identified in fatal motorcycle crash
The victim in a fatal motorcycle crash in Bristol Sunday has been identified.
The Sheriff's Department identified Donald J. White, 57, of Union Grove as the driver of the motorcycle involved in the crash, which occurred at about 2:30 p.m.
According to the Sheriff's Department, witnesses said a Chevy S-10 pick-up was stopped south bound on Highway 45, waiting to make a left turn onto Highway K. A motorcycle, driven by White and also south… Continue reading
Man dies in accident at cement plant
The Kenosha County Sheriff's Department issued the following information regarding a fatal industrial accident in Paris today:
This morning at 10:30 a.m., Kenosha County sheriff’s deputies responded along with Paris Fire and Rescue to a report of a worksite accident at 1810 120 Ave. The address is the site of a concrete mixing facility in Paris.
