The 11th annual fair auction was held at the fair grounds Sunday. About 300 bid cards were passed out to the 400-500 that attended. Spring swine weigh-ins in preparation for county fairs are again going to be banned this year due to concerns over spreading a deadly, communicable virus among pigs, Dr. Paul McGraw, state veterinarian at the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection announced this week. The 2014 Kenosha County Fair included a garden tractor pull on Saturday. The event pitted up super souped-up tractors that probably don’t mow much grass anymore. The contest operates much like truck and tractor pull in the grandstand, but with a smaller sled. Here’s some video:
