In what Sheriff David Beth called “a little miracle,” an 18-month-old boy sustained no serious injuries after falling from the top row of the grandstand at the Kenosha County Fairgrounds Saturday night. Large animal auction under way
The large animal auction — beef, sheep and pigs — began at 1 p.m. We will have a video later to give the atmosphere of the auction but the best way to experience it is to go — and maybe even bid!

Fishing, gun safety merit awards announced
Here are some more merit award announcements from judging at the 2011 Kenosha County Fair: Keenan Wiley, Slades Corners Lucky Clovers 4-H Club, received a merit award for a gun safety project. Emily Galuszka and Jacob Hardesty received merits for fish casting.

The hay bale throwing competition is an annual part of Friday evening at the Kenosha County Fair. The event is coordinated by the Slades Corners Lucky Clovers 4-H Club.
