Slow no wake order lifted for Lake Shangri-la, Cross Lake and Voltz Lake

A slow no wake order for Lake Shangri-la, Cross Lake and Voltz Lake in Salem Lakes has been lifted, village administrator Patrick Casey said Wednesday afternoon. All other lakes in the village remain under slow no wake, Casey said. All village lakes were put under slow no wake after heavy rains on July 11-12.

At about 9:43 p.m., Town of Salem Fire/Rescue units are responding to a report of tree on a wire and possibly on fire in the 23500 block of 124th Street in the Cross Lake neighborhood.

At 2:10 p.m., Salem Fire/Rescue¬†units are responding to a report of a gas leak in the 23500 block of 126th Street in the Cross Lake neighborhood.
