St. John’s Farmer’s market gearing up
The St. John the Evangelist Farmer's Market in Twin Lakes is gearing up for its season.
The market will take place every Saturday from 8 to 11:30 a.m., May 8 through Oct. 23 at the church, 701 North Lake Ave., Twin Lakes.
The market will focus on locally grown and produced agricultural and food products such as flowers, meat, produce, baked goods and honey. In addition, locally produced non-agricultural products will also be offered.

Today was the grand opening for the new Mattel Toy Store in Wilmot.
The store is located in the building that used to house the Gander Mountain Outlet on 125th Street. Though commonly referred to as Wilmot, the store is actually in the extreme southeast corner of Randall.
Store hours will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.

Brewed Beginnings giving one-of-a-kind coffee sleeve donations to Salem Booster Club
Jim and Debi Rigney, owners of Brewed Beginnings in Paddock Lake, were impressed by the efforts of the Salem Booster Club in preserving sports and extracurriculars activities at the school in the wake of budget cuts earlier this year. The shop also had several Salem School teachers as regular customers.
The couple wanted to come up with some way to help the boosters raise money for their functions.
