Bristol town Supervisor Joan Peterson made an unsuccessful bid for more information in meeting minutes at the Town Board's meeting Monday night. Bristol makes going for another annexation referendum official

The Bristol Village Board approved petitioning for another annexation referendum Monday, apparently undaunted by last week's setback in circuit court. The vote to approve a resolution stating the village's intention to pursue another referendum on the annexation of the town of Bristol passed unanimously with no discussion. Report of crash at Highways 45 and 50

At 12:18 p.m., Bristol Fire and Rescue units and sheriff's deputies are responding to a report of a multi-vehicle crash at Highways 45 and 50 in Bristol. The report to dispatch was that a semi tractor-trailer hit a white vehicle in the intersection. UPDATE 12:20 p.m. -- Person in vehicle reporting no serious injuries, according to personnel on scene. Bristol unification referendum hits snag

A Circuit Court judge has rejected the village of Bristol's bid to have a referendum in April on annexing the entire town based on a error in  legal description included in the petition. But the village intends to fix the error and refile the request, said Randy Kerkman, village/town administrator. Bristol approves another summer of car shows

A series of  twice monthly car shows at a village business -- which debuted last year -- has won approval for another year. The town and village of Bristol have approved an intergovernmental agreement that facilitates sharing services and personnel amongst both entities that formerly were attached to the town. Bristol -- the village and the town -- will be making a donation to the Deputy Friendly Safety Poster Contest. The town had traditionally made a $200 donation to the contest, typically used to purchase bikes. With filing closing today, only the incumbents filed for two Bristol Town Board seats to be decided in the April election.
