At 3:48 p.m., sheriff's deputies, Salem Fire/Rescue and Silver Lake Rescue are responding to the scene of a crash with injuries at Highways JB and B, Brighton. The crash involves one vehicle, which ran a stop sign, hit a post and is in a field, dispatch reports. UPDATE 3:54 p.m. -- Personnel on scene reports vehicle may have hit a tree. View Larger Map

The man who drowned Monday in a pond at a Brighton campground has been identified as Guillermo Acosta, 37, of Kenosha. More information on the incident available here.

At 3 p.m., Salem Fire/Rescue personnel are responding tothe 22000 block of 45th Street (Highway NN), Brighton, for a person who was underwater in a pond and is not breathing and is not conscious. UPDATE 3:05 p.m. -- Scanner transmissions indicate CPR was performed on the person and they are now breathing, but still unconscious. UPDATE 3:24 p.m. -- Some Salem Fire/Rescue units leaving scene. At 2:34 p.m., units from the Kansasville Fire Department and Silver Lake Rescue are responding to a report of a small  fire in the 30100 block of Highway 142, Brighton. At 1:25 p.m., units from Salem Fire/Rescue are responding to the report of a field on fire in the 29800 block of 41st in Brighton. UPDATE 1:27 p.m. --  Fire apparently in field behind a home, but no other structures near flames. Source of fire is discarded charcoal briquettes, according to scanner transmissions. At 9:53 p.m., units from Silver Lake Rescue and Salem Fire/Rescue are responding to a report of a rollover accident on Highway 142 near the entrance of Bong State Recreation Area in Brighton. UPDATE 10 p.m. -- The scene was reported by a passerby who said they saw a Jeep on its roof with the doors open. They could not see anyone nearby. Kansasville Fire Department also is responding. At 4 a.m., units from Salem Fire/Rescue are responding to a report of a garage fire in the 800 block 224th Avenue, Brighton. UPDATE 4:07 a.m. -- Bristol and Silver Lake fire departments have been called to scene. House is reportedly on fire as well, according to scanner transmissions. At 5:09 p.m., deputies and Salem Fire/Rescue are responding to the scene of an two-care crash at Highway 75 and JB in Brighton. Involved are a silver Neon and a silver Taurus. One car is in the ditch and one is blocking the roadway. Extent of injuries is unknown. UPDATE 5:18 p.m. -- Fire department personnel on the scene report that damage to cars is moderate.
