The Brown Family Farm on Highway 50 in Bristol is your local source for locally grown produce, eggs, chicken and pork.
The farm is located at 13620 75th St. (Highway 50) in Bristol. That’s about 1 mile west of I-94 and is just east of Thompson Starwberry Farm.
What is available at the farm varies with the seasons, but eggs, pork and chicken are available all year round.
All of the farm’s animals are raised in a free-range environment with no growth hormone.
“They’re raised like animals are meant to be raised,” said Mark Brown.
A similar approach is used with produce grown on the farm as well, with no commercial fertilizers used.
Brown said a plus of buying food at his farm is the atmosphere, especially if you are particular about where your food comes from.
“Customers can see our gardens, they can see where our animals are raised,” Brown said.
In early June, the farm is featuring corn, tomatoes and melons. Pick your own peas are starting June 16.
Later in the season there will be more pick your own offerings, including tomatoes and beans.
The Brown Family Farm is open every day starting at 8 a.m.
