James Konicke from our  Trevor based Vonco came to visit Christina Nickles 6th grade Project Lead the Way class at Trevor-WIlmot School.

Konicke is an engineer at the new local firm based in the Salem Business Park, which manufactures products including the ever so popular Thunderstix.  They produce medical, food and industrial packaging.

Konicke himself is a veteran engineer with a background in chemical engineering. He also has several patents, including one for antibacterial wipes.

“We are very lucky to have an inventor and innovator like Mr. Konicke speak to our students about different kinds of engineers, exciting things on the engineering horizon, and also their potential future as engineers,” Nickles said.
