The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for the Fox River in Western Kenosha County.
The river at the New Munster gauge was measuring at 9.52 feet at 4 a.m. Flood stage is 11 feet.
The current forecast says the river could crest at 12.9 feet early Thursday morning.
A quarter to half inch of additional rain is expected Tuesday, with a high temperature of 48. Precipitation may change to include freezing rain, sleet and maybe some snow Tuesday night.
Also, the NWS has extended its dense fog advisory until 8 a.m., Tuesday.
