Seven candidates filed papers by the Tuesday, 5 p.m. deadline, said Cindi Dulaney, village clerk. There will be six slots on the April ballot. The Feb. 20 primary will eliminate one candidate, the one who receives the least amount of votes.

The seven candidates are:

  • Ron Gandt of Wilmot.
  • Bill Hopkins of Silver Lake, an incumbent.
  • Amee Janus of Trevor.
  • John M McEntegart of Salem.

Incumbent Trustee Bob Raymond of Silver Lake filed non-candidacy papers and is not running for re-election.
