Community Library closed on Labor Day

Community Library branches at Salem and Twin Lakes will be closed on Monday, Sept. 4, in observance of Labor Day. Regular hours at both locations will resume on Tuesday, Sept. 5.

Units responding for tree and wires down in Trevor

At about 2:30 p.m., Salem Lakes Fire/Rescue units and a sheriff’s deputy are responding to the 11100 block of 270th Avenue in Trevor. Per dispatch: A tree fell and took down wires. Tree fell on an unoccupied car. Roadway blocked.
