The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for the Fox River in Western Kenosha County.
The warning was issued Wednesday afternoon.
At 1 p.m., Wednesday the river was measured at 10.2 feet. Bank full stage is 10 feet. The current forecast calls for the river to exceed flood stage of 11 feet by Friday morning. A crest of 11.3 feet is forecast by Saturday morning. The river should be back under flood stage by Sunday morning.
UPDATE 9:28 p.m. — Flood warning now apparently has been withdrawn. Latest forecast calls for river levels to continue to recede.
