Brighton School recently celebrated a whole week of Dr. Seuss.

Monday was Cat in the Hat day.

Tuesday the school community wore shirts you can read for I Can Read With My Eyes Shut day.

Wednesday was Fox in Socks day and boy were there some fun socks.

Thursday was If I Ran the Zoo day with everyone wearing animal prints.

On Friday everyone donned shirts showing The Places You’ll Go, or in some cases, places grandparents, aunt and uncles went.

Students and staff alike enjoyed recognizing the birthday of Theodor Seuss Geisel.  His literary contributions are appreciated by everyone from Kindergarteners right down to the office.

In a surprise ending to the week, the school was joined by Elvis of the Kenosha Kingfish.

Brighton Stars have been reading on their own time and keeping track of their progress.  Once they hit 100 minutes, they get a free ticket to a Kingfish game, each year Brighton Night at Simmons Field gathers more and more attendees.
