Westosha Central High School varsity and junior varsity cheer teams swept Southern Lakes Conference with two first place wins on Jan. 7.
Westosha varsity cheer team became three times conference champion for the three years in a row after competing at the Southern Lakes Conference Competition hosted at Badger High School. The young women have been working hard this season in their quest towards the National High School Cheerleading Championships in Orlando this February. Previous success this season includes winning their divisions at both the Milwaukee Spirit Invite and a local competition at Oak Creek High School.
Two varsity stunt groups from Westosha competed last weekend too. The stunt group that included Madi Hansen, Sara Hebior, Lindsay Mazurek, and Lauren LaPlant placed second in the SLC Conference.
Madi Hansen was also chosen as the Champion for the All Conference cheer team.
Second place for the team division was Elkhorn and in third place was Lake Geneva Badger.
