Pringle Nature Center announces upcoming programs

pringle-logoPringle Nature Center, 9800 160th Ave., Bristol, (in Bristol Woods County Park) has announced the following programs:

  • Nature Story Time: Fall Leaves by Mary Packard on Thursday, October 20th, 9:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. Did you know there are many fun-filled activities you can enjoy with fall leaves? For ages 5 and under accompanied by an adult. Free
  • SPARK! Program on Friday, October 21st, 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. SPARK! programs are designed for people in the early- to mid-stages of memory loss to visit with their family/caregivers. Our volunteer, Merv Daehler, will bring in a therapy dog. Free; pre-registration is required as space is limited.
  • Invasive Species Workday on Saturday, October 22nd, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Want to help with parkland restoration or use cool tools? Students or scouts, do you need to earn some community service hours? With the help of volunteers, undesirable non-native, invasive plants are removed manually and native plants returned to the habitat. Please bring your own work gloves, tools will be provided.
  • Project Learning Tree PreK-8 Curriculum Workshop on Saturday, October 29th, 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Spend a fun and activity-filled day getting hands-on experience with the award-winning environmental education curriculum, Project Learning Tree. Registration is required by October 26th in order to ensure enough curriculum guides. Thanks to a grant, the price is reduced. $15.00/person
