UPDATED: Units responding for gas line leak in Bristol; turned out to be sewer gas

At 12:02 p.m., Bristol Fire and Rescue unit and sheriff’s deputies are responding to a report of a gas leak in the 19600 block of 75th Street (Highway 50) in Bristol.

Per dispatch: This is the Kenosha County Center. Building being evacuated.

UPDATE 12:12 p.m. — Bristol command reports We Energies is on the scene.

UPDATE 6:50 p.m. — Jennie Tunkieicz, county executive chief of staff, supplied the following wrap-up of the situation from Mike Schrandt, facilities director:  “Building Maintenance noticed a gas smell in a storage room. WeEnergies was called to investigate and nothing more. Turned out to be sewer gas from a dried out floor drain.”
