Wilmot UHS football loses in state football playoffs

The Wilmot Union High School football Panthers had their state playoffs campaign end Friday with a loss to Waukesha West High School. Final score was 28-0. Waukesha West was the number 1 seed in Wilmot’s bracket. Wilmot was number 5.

Town of Salem Fire/Rescue teaches safety at Salem School

The Town of Salem Fire/Rescue spent Fire Safety Week at Salem School teaching students all about fire safety. Third grade student Sylvia Nielsen won a ride in a fire truck for having the best fire safety poster.  Firefighter/Paramedic Jim Coppelman supervised the students as they practice getting low & go through the portable fire safety training module.

John Niederer appointed new Bristol Fire and Rescue chief

John Niederer was appointed the next chief of Bristol Fire and Rescue by the Bristol Village Board at Monday’s regular meeting. Niederer replaces Chief Peter Parker, who is retiring.
