BloodCenter of Wisconsin has Kenosha County blood drives planned

Kenosha County blood donors can help patients in need at BloodCenter of Wisconsin’s upcoming blood drives. Donors can schedule an appointment by calling 1-877-BE-A-HERO (1-877-232-4376), or visiting www.bcw.edu.

  • Kenosha. Wednesday, August 5, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Kenosha Brookside Care Center, 3506 Washington Rd.
  • Silver Lake. Tuesday, August 11, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Silver Lake Rescue Squad, 209 E. Lake St.
  • Kenosha. Saturday, August 15, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  at Kenosha Public Museum, 5500 First Ave.
  • Kenosha. Saturday, August 15, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Unity Lodge #367 F&AM, 4320 Washington Rd.
  • Twin Lakes. Tuesday, August 18, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Twin Lakes American Legion Post 544, 989 Legion Dr.
  • Kenosha. St. Anne Catholic Church on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Kenosha Donor Center, 8064 39th Ave.

Anyone 16 or older who is in general good health and meets eligibility requirements is encouraged to donate blood. Appointments are preferred to ensure a quick and convenient donation, but walk-in donors are also welcome. Parental consent is required for 16-year-olds to donate. The entire process takes about an hour. Donors should bring a photo ID that includes birth date.

BloodCenter of Wisconsin is a not-for-profit organization that specializes in blood services, organ, tissue and marrow donation, diagnostic testing, medical services and leading-edge research.
