The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for an area of Wisconsin that includes Kenosha County.
The watch will be in effect from 5 p.m., Thursday until 7 a.m., Friday.
The watch is prompted by expected heavy rain tonight, perhaps as much as 1 to 2 inches. That volume of rain could cause street flooding and rivers to approach flood stage.
The Fox River, as measured at the New Munster gauge, was at 5.64 feet at 3 p.m., Thursday. Flood stage is 11 feet.
