Central HS All Band Spring Concert is May 2

clarinet-mf-puddleduck_optThe Westosha Central High School Music Program presents the All Band Spring Concert on Sunday, May 3, at 2:30 p.m. in the school cafetorium located at 24617 75th St., Paddock Lake.  Admission is free and the event is open to the public.

A wide variety of music will be performed by the Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble Brass Ensemble and Handbell Choir under the direction of Adam Scheele. The concert will feature each separate band in addition to combined pieces performed by the various ensembles.  Music by Alfred Reed, Gene Milford, Morten Lauridsen, Brian Balmages, William Harbinson, Thomas Doss, Randall Standridge and BJ Brooks will be featured. The Wind Ensemble will perform Star-Crossed by Andrew Boysen, which will also feature a movie that was created in collaboration with the music. The concert will conclude with a combined performance of American Visions by Travis Weller.

After the concert, the Music Parents Association will be selling a variety of 10 inch hanging flower baskets for $22 as part of a spring fund raiser.  All proceeds from the sale go to supporting the performing arts programs at Central High School.
