National Weather Service marking 7th anniversary of Jan. 7, 2008 tornado

The National Weather Service, on its Facebook page, today marking the seventh anniversary of the F3 tornado that swept through Wheatland and Brighton on Jan. 7, 2008. The write-up from the NWS has extensive information on the tornado.

The tornado that destroyed homes in Wheatland and Brighton is the strongest ever recorded (using the Fujita system, adopted in 1982)  in Kenosha County.
