Snow, then rain and sleet, then a warm weekend

snowflakepaper-mf-sideshowmomThe snow you may be seeing out your window this morning should continue into the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service forecast.

About 3 p.m., the precipitation is expected to turn to sleet and freezing rain. But there’s only a slight chance of that wintery mix continuing into the evening. Accumulation of less than a half inch is forecast.

High temperature today and the low temperature tonight should both be 29. That’s because a warm-up is underway, with a high of 45 degrees high forecast for Saturday.

The high Sunday should also be over 40, but temperatures will begin to fall again somewhat after that. Highs for early next week look to be in the low 30s.
