Kenosha County SRT team responding to Lake Geneva

At 10:55 a.m., the Kenosha County Specialized Response Team is being asked to respond as mutual aid for a box alarm to Highway 50 and Highway 12 in Lake Geneva.

The SRT deals with situations like high angle rescue or confined space work. The SRT is made up of specially trained individuals and equipment from county fire departments.

Highway construction is going on there.

UPDATE 10:58 a.m. — Kenosha Area Fire Rescue Scanner Facebook page is reporting that the response appears to be related to that construction.

UPDATE 11 a.m. — Per dispatch: Response is for workers trapped in a trench.

UPDATE 11:05 a.m. — Box alarm struck. Units still responding told to return to quarters.

UPDATE 11:06 a.m. — Walworth County Fire/EMS Scanner Facebook page reporting all workers out now.

UPDATE 3:28 p.m. — wisn.com has some helicopter aided photography of the scene.
