The Westosha Youth Basketball Club is a travel basketball team program for boys and girls in the 4th through 8th grades who either live within the Central High School attendance area or attend one of the grade schools that feed into Central and intend on going to high school at Central.
The high school coaches are actively involved in this program and serve as mentors for our volunteer coaches as well as participate in selected team practices.
The program’s philosophy is to organize the club program and to complement the grade school basketball schedule. Practices begin after tryouts are complete and the season will end by late March or early April. Most games will be played on the weekends and practices will work around the grade school schedule.
The Westosha Youth Basketball Club will host tryouts for the 2014-2015 season on two days at the Westosha Central gymnasium. Any boy or girl interested in playing on one of the teams needs to attend at least one of the two tryouts. Any player interested in attending both tryouts is encouraged to do so, but it is not required.
The specifics for the tryouts are:
Saturday, September 13. Boys from 9:00-11:00am. Girls from 3:30-5:00pm.
Sunday, September 21. Girls from 3:00-4:30pm. Boys from 5:00-6:30pm.
There are several ways to register. However, pre-registration for the tryouts is highly encouraged in order to maximize the time that can be spent evaluating the players at the tryouts.
By mail or email, contact either Marcus Zackery or Adam Mannetter at email@example.com to obtain the registration form and instructions for completing the registration process.
You also can register in person the night of the tryouts, however, please plan on being there about 10-15 minutes before the start of the tryouts.
