A Twin Lakes man faces a felony charge in connection with a crash that killed a teen along a county highway in Randall last summer.
Thomas H. Johnston IV, 28, has been charged with homicide by vehicle use-controlled substance in connection with the crash that occurred on June 14, 2013, according to Circuit Court records.
Nathaniel J. Walter, 16 of Twin Lakes, died on June 27, 2013 as a result of the injuries he sustained in the crash. Walter was on a riding mower when he was struck.
Sheriff’s Department officials have said charges were delayed in this case due to waiting for toxicology results.
Johnston had a court appearance on Wednesday for a preliminary hearing. His next court appearance is set for Sept. 3 for a status conference.
