Salem Summer School was held from July 7th through August 1st. There were 225 students who attended the 4 week program. There were many reinforcement and enrichment opportunities for students to choose from, particularly in the areas of reading, math, and computers. There were also classes that allowed many hands-on experiences such as Arithmetic in the Kitchen, Soaring Rockets, and Agricultural Science. On any given day, students could be seen applying their science, technology, engineering, and math skills by constructing rockets, measuring recipes, milking goats, or recording and monitoring the hatching of chickens. Students also had opportunities to expend some energy while practicing their team-building and cooperation skills in physical education/team sports class.

This was the second year in a row that Salem School had a summer school program.
