Kenosha County UW-Extension and Master Gardener Volunteers will be hosting an “Evening Excursion” on Monday, Aug. 4, from 4 – 7 pm, at the Kenosha County Center AAS Display & Demonstration Garden located at the intersection of Highways 45 & 50 in Bristol.

The AIIAmerica Selections (AAS) Display Garden will be the highlight of the evening. On display are flowers and vegetables with excellent garden performance that have been declared AAS Winners in the past five years. Garden visitors can see these varieties planted in different types of growing situations.

All-America Selections is an independent plant trialing and award program. In January 2014, AAS announced that the Kenosha County Center Demonstration Garden had been selected as one of a select group of prestigious public gardens to be one of their All-America Selections Display Gardens.

All-America Selections works with the world’s most prominent breeders to trial their best new varieties anonymously and have them rated by independent horticulture experts who volunteer their time as AAS Judges. After a rigorous trialing, only the best performers are declared AAS Winners.
