Units responding for report of grass fire near Cross Lake

At about 1:15 p.m., Town of Salem Fire/Rescue units are responding to a report of a grass fire in the 22700 block of 126th Street in the Cross Lake area.

UPDATE 1:25 p.m. — Fire personnel at the scene requesting ATV and brush truck respond.

UPDATE 1:34 p.m. — MABAS box alarm activated. Responding to the scene are Silver Lake Fire Department and Paris Fire Department with engines, Bristol Fire Department and Pleasant Prairie Fire and Rescue with tenders, Paris FD with a brush truck, Silver Lake Rescue with an ambulance, Pleasant Prairie FR with a chief and Silver Lake FD with an ATV.

UPDATE 1:39 p.m. — Scene being described now as 224th Avenue and 122nd Street. Randall Fire Department toned out to respond with a brush truck and an ATV to the scene and a chief to the Trevor Station for a change of quarters.

UPDATE 1:47 p.m. — Salem F/R command has struck box alarm. Any units still responding can clear and return to quarters.
