Old Settlers Oktoberfest is gearing up for their 4th Annual Oktoberfest. Lots of exciting changes as well as traditional events will be taking place.
First off the date for the Oktoberfest this year is Saturday, Sept. 13. Th event takes place at Old Settlers County Park on Highway 50 (75th Street) in Paddock Lake.
The Oktoberfest Work Group is proud to announce they are their own Non for Profit Organization. The group will be heading up the Oktoberfest as the Old Settlers Oktoberfest Inc. along with the Kenosha Parks and Recreations and the Westosha Kiwanis.
Added tot eh event this year will be a Little Miss Edelweiss Pageant for girls ages 3-10. More information will be coming soon as to when during the day it will be held as well as rules and guidelines. Organizers will also be adding wine to the event this year.
Plan to come to see the traditional dancers performing, live Polka bands, Wiener Dog races sponsored by County Executive Jim Kreuser, Car Show, Dance floor, Childrens games, facepainting, hair braiding and the famous Fireworks Display.
There will be a Beer Tent sponsored by the Westosha Kiwanis, and many food vendors to have a wide taste of delicious Europian Essen (food).
The group will be selling Tshirt and Raffle tickets at Westosha Floral starting Aug. 1. Tshirts will also be available for purchase at other locations to be announced.
