Connor Grayson appearing in UW-Whitewater play

“Deathtrap,” a story of two playwrights fighting for the right to produce the same play, comes to the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in a production full of surprises.

Connor Grayson, a senior theatre education major, from Silver Lake, appears as Porter Milgrim.

“Deathtrap” tells the tale of struggling Broadway writer Sidney Bruhl, who takes an interest in a play written by one of his students. What starts as a collaborative agreement to the rights of the play turns into a battle between playwrights, creating plots twists that will keep the audience guessing until the unforgettable finish.

“The play is well written and won awards when it was presented on Broadway in the late 70s,” said Charles “Skip” Grover, director and associate professor of theatre and dance. “There are many surprises as the play unfolds. The audience should be prepared to see the very good work of UW-Whitewater students.”

The production opens Tuesday, June 24, at 7:30 p.m. at Barnett Theatre in the Greenhill Center for the Arts. The show runs until Saturday, June 28.
