John Mitchell Kirsch earns Eagle Scout rank

On June 7, Rep. Samantha Kerkman (R-Salem) attended the Court of Honor Ceremony for John Mitchell Kirsch of Troop 328 at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Bristol. Mitchell is the son of John Blayne Kirsch and Pam Kirsch of Trevor. While pursuing the rank of Eagle Scout, Mitchell earned 38 merit badges, camped for 63 nights, and was recognized with several awards some of which include COPE, Mile Swim, High Five, National Outdoor Camping, and Order of the Arrow. Mitchell has also demonstrated outstanding leadership abilities, having held the positions of Patrol Leader, Troop Guide, Instructor, Scribe and Bugler. Finally, Mitchell completed his service requirement by coordinating the Bluebird House Project, wherein he installed 15 new bluebird houses at Silver Lake Park to improve the bluebird habitat.
