The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department released the following statement regarding book donations for jail inmates:

Sheriff David Beth would like to thank the community for their dedication to donating books to those incarcerated in the Kenosha County Jail. Sheriff Beth said, “The response by the community has been so much greater than we expected. Over the last couple of years people have donated thousands of books to the Kenosha County Jail. But we are out of room. We need to ask people to stop bringing the books, because we just do not have room for any more.” If the Sheriff’s Department does find itself in need of books in the future we know we can count on the people in the City and County of Kenosha to come through. But for now we no longer will be able to accept book donations at the Pre-trial Facility (Public Safety Building 1000-55th St.) or at the Kenosha County Detention Center (4777 88th Ave).”
