Residents of Silver Lake who served in World War II were honored at Wednesday’s Village Board meeting.
The board unanimously passed a resolution thanking the veterans for their service.
Village President Sue Gerber said the timing of the proclamation came because of the 70th anniversary of the D-Day invasion, which was June 6, 1944.
Specifically named in the proclamation were: Bill Huston, Scott Welch, Bob Redlin, Henry Bierdz, Harry Stoxen, James Hornof and Anthony Hornof.
