The family of Bruce Schaal, known for his work in local fire and rescue and as a local business leader, asked to share this message with the community:

The family of Bruce “Ticker” Schaal would like to express our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for all the love, prayers, words of kindness, shared memories, and gestures, not only now but through the years. We are blessed to have such strong support from all the family and friends as well as the church, fire and rescue family and general community. We would also like to thank the following departments for their participation and presence at Bruce’s services; Randall Fire, Twin Lakes Fire and Rescue, Wheatland Fire, Silver Lake Fire and Rescue, Salem Fire, Bristol Fire, Paris Fire, Somers Fire, City of Kenosha Fire, Scout Leaders, Bloomfield Fire, Lake Geneva Fire, Lyons Fire, Racine Fire, Richmond Fire, Lincolnshire-Riverwoods Fire, Walworth County Firefighters Association, Twin Lakes Police, Kenosha County Sheriffs, Sturtevant Police, Flight for Life, and any departments that we may have forgotten. As Bruce would always say “Any day the Good Lord lets you get out of bed is a good day”.
