The second week of High School trapshooting is complete in the SE WI Trapshooting conference and 670 young athletes have taken shots for the 13 teams so far.
Wilmot has jumped out front in the South division standings.
In South division action, Brendon Pietschman was clean for Wilmot as the Panthers powered past Union Grove 121 to 108. Four Panthers each pitched in 24’s and Michael Kopecky paced the Broncos with a 23. Brad Gabrhel’s perfect round was not enough to push the Wolverines past the virtual score of 117 as Waterford put a 115 on the scoreboard. Senior Mariah Kerr paced the Demons with a 24 as Burlington topped Racine Lutheran 114 to 102. Bryan Thomas carded a 23 for the Crusaders. Westosha Central was five birds better than Lake Geneva Badger 116 to 111. Mariano Ruffalo and Nathan Miller paced the Falcons with 24 apiece. Joe Altweis and Joe Freeman had 23’s to lead the Badger. Winners in junior varsity were Westosha Central, Burlington, Wilmot, Waterford, Milwaukee Marquette Jefferson and Muskego. Jefferson, Marquette and Muskego are standing at 2-0 in the North while Wilmot and Burlington are both 2-0 in the South.
